After a lot of doubt and a lot of work my first official book has been published to Amazon. I'm beyond excited for everyone to read it and even more so, I'm excited to get working on my next one.
Sleep Wakers is built off of many ideas I had rolling around in my head for so long, the first paragraph was actually written on my phone in the middle of the night 2 years ago. I gave up on it once or twice before finally telling myself I had no reason not to write the book. I hope it makes someone out there fall in love with the story like I did.

I recently submitted my first piece of work for judging. I wrote a short story for a statewide contest. It's been quite a long time since I had written any kind of short story and it was harder to stay within their word limits than I thought but I must say I'm pretty proud of my work. The first round of judging won't happen until the end of the year so I have a long while of waiting to see if I've been lucky enough to be a finalist. In the meantime I'm still working my fingers off to get my first novella through edits and rewrites. Beta reading has gone well and I look forward to seeing it out in the world.
Write they say, just do it. I've struggled for years with myself, trying to decide whether I was good enough to put my words and ideas out into the world. I often lived inside the books created by others, letting my own ideas fall to the wayside. Being a mother of three boys has shown me I can do more than I ever thought possible. I'm determined now to set my words free but... It's not so simple. I've chosen the route of self publishing for now, giving me more freedom and control but it still comes with a price tag. I don't have money saved away for my writing expenses; All the tools you need for success take time and money. I'm accomplishing something major in my life and all I ask is for a little support, whether it be a donation or a follow and an interest in my writing.
