The weather is warming up here in Michigan, although it might be a trick, but I am so excited to be rid of the bitter cold. It makes my hands ache and my brain lazy.  Hopefully I'll be able to open a few windows soon, or even break out my beloved hammock.
My husband laughed at me the other day when he saw my brand new toy, an Alphasmart Neo. I've seen them around and the idea seemed like it would be exactly what I needed. A full keyboard word processor machine that saves itself, doesn't give me access to all the distractions of the internet, and doesn't give me the ease of delaying my progress by editing every little thing in sight.  I'm a distraction-aholic... distractaholic? Hmm... maybe i'll google that, wait. no, no.  See, already getting lost on a tangent.  Anyway, this little low tech beauty has increased my word count dramatically lately. I grab it, tote it around the house with me, and can type a few lines, walk away and come back for more with little trouble. When I'm satisfied that I've let enough words out, I plug it into my Chromebook and do my edits/rewrites.  I think it's going to be my best friend this summer with its small size and screen being much more convenient in the outdoors, not to mention way better battery life. The added #momlife bonus is that it was only $20 on ebay, so if my wild tornado children destroy it, replacement won't be a problem.
So that's my geeked out rant.
I'm also:
Currently enjoying No Man's Sky on PS4.
Currently reading The Dark Corners of The Night by Meg Gardiner.
